About Us page.. 

I started Art2craft three and a half years ago as I found it very difficult to find different shades of felt apart from primary colours. From those small beginnings Art2craft has become organic from just me buying, buying for my students and then buying for their friends. As business has grown, the next step was a website.     

 

I have been involved with the fashion trade, textiles and worked in the craft industry throughout my working life and latterly work as a demonstrator for Sissix Ellison. Some of you may have seen me at the trade shows around the United Kingdom and Europe.

 

On a personal level, I have been an ardent crafter since my mother first gave me a pair of blunt scissors and piece of paper, more years ago than I would like to admit. In March 2007 I became a granny for the first time and I'm very proud of William James.

 

I work with my partner, Mark, who takes care of the time consuming administration, which gives me time to do the exciting bits like creating, buying and teaching.

 

We work from a converted stable in a late nineteenth century waterworks yard off the centre of Hastings, which is a centre for diverse businesses.  We have built a solid and reliable reputation for our sales service and have many repeat customers from far and wide.
